Northbound Chai Co. is a brand of chai that I created that is spicy and complex. The brand story involves two characters who are longtime friends who both have a love for travel and food. Influenced by unique and rich flavors from around the world, the brand references travel in its brand name and its luggage tag and train travel inspired label. Details such as the punched holes, the passport stamp, and Trade Gothic add to the feel of train travel in the mid-century. It is a structured and typographic branding system while still being a little bit fun and playful.
