Umbrella Chocolate Company is a fictional chocolate company located in Portland, Oregon. Inspired by the colorful and fun nature of umbrellas and how they bring color and fun to a gray and dreary day, I decided to make Umbrella Chocolate Company a playful and colorful brand. Not only is the packaging very colorful and festive, but I decided to make the chocolates themselves colorful, using sprinkles and jimmies to add a celebratory touch.
I played with the idea of rain and umbrellas in the packaging to add to the brand story. Each package has a pattern that is falling rain of either sprinkles or jimmies, depending on what is on the chocolates inside. The name of the bar is acting as an umbrella, shielding the rest of the package from the rain.
